RE[connect]: Turning Social Value into Community Impact

Tuesday, November 10, 2026

What happens when businesses with social value commitments meet third-sector organisations with the ideas, expertise and connections to make them happen?

RE[connect] is a fast-paced, practical 90-minute lunchtime session designed to turn ESG’s Social into real-world action. Hear how a business and third-sector organisation have successfully partnered, then jump into a series of short, facilitated conversations to explore what you could do together.

Bring your commitments, skills, resources and ideas. Come ready to connect, collaborate and leave with real opportunities, and social value commitments ready to put into action.

RE[connect]: Turning Social Value into Community Impact

Objectives

The session would aim to:

  • Introduce participants to ESG, with a particular focus on what the Social (S) means in practice.
  • Explore the relationship between ESG, social value and community impact.
  • Demonstrate through a practical case study how business and third-sector collaboration can work.
  • Help businesses identify opportunities to use their skills, resources and social value commitments effectively.
  • Give third-sector organisations an opportunity to communicate their needs, opportunities and expertise directly to businesses.
  • Facilitate new relationships between organisations that may not otherwise meet.
  • Generate tangible opportunities for collaboration following the festival.
