Join us for an interactive leadership and decision-making workshop focused on building community climate resilience. This engaging, gamified experience allows participants to assess and negotiate actions, forging a local response to the global climate crisis.

Through a mix of informative content, challenges, and hands-on group activities, you’ll make decisions and reach agreements that strengthen both individual and collective leadership skills, equipping you to guide your community through the climate challenges ahead. The workshop boosts climate knowledge, fosters a sense of agency, and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate in prioritizing a community-based climate action plan.

Key Objectives

  • To share honest, reliable information about the realities of climate change impacts.
  • To inform attendees about the potential impacts and gains from climate action – mitigation and adaption
  • To provide the challenge of decision making about climate action with individuals and groups, for individuals and communities.
  • To provide the experience of collaboration and analysis with others in localised climate action planning.

Carol Lemmens - Arup

Carol is Arup’s Global Advisory Services Portfolio leader and interim Europe Property Business leader.

He was instrumental in developing Arup’s position paper to define the circular economy in the context of the built environment and developing Arup’s work as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s (EMF) knowledge partner for the built environment. He continues to work to raise the awareness of the circular economy approach from general first principles to practice by identifying the many challenges, enablers and opportunities available to Arup and others in making the circular economy a reality. Carol regularly contributes to Circular Economy and thought pieces, presentations and interviews globally. Most notably, Carol was invited to give a key note address to the United Nations General Assembly at their Circular Economy event, in October 2018.
