Our young generation brings new energy, ideas, and urgency to the fight against climate change, helping to ensure a sustainable future for all. Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’s 30 Under 30 was launched in 2022, now with 3 cohorts of 30 young climate change makers, the programme is designed to unearth, inspire and equip 30 leaders under the age of 30 who can play an instrumental part in shaping a better climate future for Northern Ireland and beyond.

In partnership with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, meet select individuals who has been on 30 Under 30 journey. This will bring together young climate changes makers who are leading the charge for a sustainable future in Northern Ireland. Join us for a breakfast of storytelling and a dynamic panel discussion where these passionate young leaders will share their journeys, challenges, and hopes for our country. This event is not just about highlighting the pressing issues of climate change but also about inspiring hope and action. Hear firsthand how these young advocates are mobilising their communities, driving innovative solutions, and making real impact. Their stories will not only inform but also empower the next generation to take bold steps toward a more sustainable and just world.

Carol Lemmens - Arup

Carol is Arup’s Global Advisory Services Portfolio leader and interim Europe Property Business leader.

He was instrumental in developing Arup’s position paper to define the circular economy in the context of the built environment and developing Arup’s work as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s (EMF) knowledge partner for the built environment. He continues to work to raise the awareness of the circular economy approach from general first principles to practice by identifying the many challenges, enablers and opportunities available to Arup and others in making the circular economy a reality. Carol regularly contributes to Circular Economy and thought pieces, presentations and interviews globally. Most notably, Carol was invited to give a key note address to the United Nations General Assembly at their Circular Economy event, in October 2018.
